The European standard EN 1177:2018 + AC:2019 defines the test methods for evaluating the impact attenuation of materials used as playground surfaces, with precise procedures and guidelines for testing the ability of surfaces to absorb shock. The tests carried out also include the use of specialized equipment to simulate falls and measure impact forces, so as to measure the performance of each material in a particularly rigorous way.
